There was a time when I thought I could build a career in game art and design without learning code. But it is code that breathes life into the mesh, and its the best way to explore the full potential of your digital creations.
I have worked in various 2d and 3d physical mediums for many years, and have applied these skills to their electronic equivalents. I started with modding games and creating assets in Secondlife, and finally branched out into Unreal4 and then Unity 3D game engine. I do textures using Photoshop or Gimp, 3d modeling and animation in 3DSMax and Blender, and coding in C#. These come together in the Unity Editor, where I am currently creating assets, and experimenting with game building, writing and world/level design. |
